How much weight is too much weight?
I am looking at campers and thinking of a 9.5 foot. They weigh about 2500 lbs and I have a 2500 dodge. I was looking on another site and there were people with 11 foot lance campers that weigh 3300 lb...

Lets break this down. The responses you're going get are going to all fall in one of the six following categories:
1 - The Weight Police - That guy that will yell "OMG You're 3 lbs over GVW and going to KILL EVERYBODY ON THE ROAD!!!!"
2 - The Overloaded and I don't care guy - "Hey, I have the same truck and I run it so heavy the tires look flat and it still runs great"
3 - The Mathematician - "Well, you have to take into account proper balancing, tire ratings, axle rating, and gravitational pull from the Moon..."
4 - The tinkerer - "Well, if you put on double EE rated tires, Timberens, air bags, quadruple sway bars, overload springs and crank up the torsion bars it'll work".
5 - The "Every topic should just be a sticky" guy - "This topic has been beaten to death over and over, why are we even talking about it? You need to do a search."
Tell me after 10 years of being on this forum I'm wrong.
