How much weight is too much weight?
I am looking at campers and thinking of a 9.5 foot. They weigh about 2500 lbs and I have a 2500 dodge. I was looking on another site and there were people with 11 foot lance campers that weigh 3300 lb...

Hey Abslayer, I agree in regards to a 4000 pound range camper is in the range of 350 or 3500 1 ton or dually unless in my case with 2006 Dodge 2500 3rd generation 3/4 ton is exactly the same truck from engine, tranny, brakes, and axle except for top overload spring and sway bar which I have added. My Adventurer also has a much heavier dry weight that both stickers claim for my 8' 6" 86 FB model. The one sticker inside states 2648 and sticker on back states 2698. The only option I had added was a Colman Mach 11,000 BTU roof AC and added 1 more deep cycle battery. I also weight it dry and camper came in at 3089!! So Adventurer is off too.
