I bought a brand new truck camper in FL, MSRP was 23,000 plus. When I went to trade it out in OR, they showed me the same NEW camper selling for 17,000. So, location determines some.
Personally, I would try to find trade-in value and offer that? All they can say is No. And then the haggling starts.
And, offering same or less as a recent turned down offer, a neighbor I know had a RV port for sale. She turned down the first "low" offer... About a month later, another couple offered the same amount and she accepted it. Never know.
