- jmtandemExplorer IIThree truck campers and one travel trailer since about 1987.
- Quality_JohnsonExplorerSo far, my first trailer lasted about 25 years. I hope my current one makes it that long. For that matter, I hope I make it that long!
:0 - DutchmenSportExplorerIn the 30 years we've been married:
Tent camping and pop-up rental: 12 years
Pop-up 6 years. Got tired of folding up in the rain wet.
1st TT: 3 years (small, no oven, corner bed, jack knife couch. Didn't like any of this by the 3rd year.
2nd TT: 8 years. Eventually did not like the floor plan, no slides, became crowded, even with just 2 people.
3rd TT: owned for 1 year now. No plans to trade.

Buy what you can afford...
Sorry I didn't ask a "smart" question. We had interesting conversation between a few families at home about it, so I thought we could do likewise here. Sorry if I offended you. - cyntdon2010ExplorerAlmost 5 years on the first one. we have no plans to purchase another.
because we like it.. and we own it free and clear.. - lawrosaExplorerThats a biased question...
For the rich every year to get the latest and greatest...IMO

Buy what you can afford... - drillkingExplorerEvery five years. We're full timers so we're tired of the same ol same ol by then!
- kknowltonExplorer IIReasons for trading in/selling vary - sometimes we're ready for a new kind of RV, other times we've wanted to upsize or downsize. 5 years with our first RV (small MH) 17 years with our PUP, 3 years with our HTT, 6 years with our first (big) TT, this is the first year with our new (smaller) TT.
- TomG2ExplorerEight new trailers (3 in 2004) plus one fifth wheel and a couple of truck campers since I retired in 2003. I use them pretty hard and like new stuff. Don't ask me about tow vehicles, but I have not had one go out of warranty in the same time period.
