I don't know what manual you are looking at but the 6.7L Manual calls for changing differential and transmission fluid at 150,000 miles.
I'm looking at the 2009 Dodge owners manual, RAM truck diesel supplement. - NRALIFRExplorer

Every time I change my engine oil. Every 2,000 miles to be safe and you should too.
Bwahahaha! Why risk it, right?
You win the massive overkill prize for that one!
:):) - GrooverExplorer IIMy manual doesn't mention changing the fluid unless you frequently use the truck near its rated tow capacity then you may want to change it to synthetic even if it is new. Since I tow near capacity fairly often I am thinking getting a finned aluminum cover with a drain plug and doing the switch. Doing it after taking the truck swimming is probably a good idea too.
- ParkCountryExplorerThanks, All, for your replies so far! For the record, I misplaced the Diesel Supplement for my truck and have looked and looked, to no avail. I've been feeling a bit "naked" without that thing, thus having to ask the community.
- hotpepperkidExplorerEver two years on the 2 Dif's and Xfer case. Every year on the tranny

For diff fluid? ? Really? ? - 4x4ordExplorer IIINever. Unless an axle breaks. Our Peterbilt has about 1,000,000 miles on it. I broke three original axles last year so the oil was changed in both differentials for the first time....should be good for another 10 years.
- stevemorrisExplorerI do it when I have the tranny fluid changed which is annually(30,000 miles) half of which is towing mileage.
- AtleeExplorer IIGo online at your truck manufacturer. You should be able to down load any manual you need.
I have the manual for my F150 in the glove box, however I downloaded a copy and it resides on my computer.
This way, I can look up stuff should I have a question and I'm in the house.ParkCountry wrote:
