As both an arm chair engineer nowadays (over 40 years as an engineer
before retiring) and a working consultant in an engineering field
Say the OP is just looking for confirmation of what he wants to hear
which he will get tons of and has gotten
For those lurking on this topic...all things engineered and designed
is for that worst day out there when Mr Murphy crosses your path
That is baked (dialed) into that 'design margin' and either you have
it spot on or not. No time to go back to the store for bigger, better,
newer, etc...or to readjust whatever
Accidents do happen, but not often (thank God) and not just to the
other guy...ask him/her about that
