Getting two 5 gal cans for myself soon. Got into a situation where (long stretch of nothing) I got a little worried about finding a gas station. Finally got to one, running on fumes, only to discover the station was too small for my truck and tt to manuever around. Thankfully a good samaritan offered me his 5 gallon can. Took a few trips to the pump but I filled up the tank and was on my way.
Plan to keep the cans in the covered bed, close to the front so they dont bounce around, and empty them as soon as I get where I'm going. Refill later for the next trip.
