I just carry extra fuel in the pickup bed. usually 5 gallons for the genny, and if we are going remote 5 or 10 gallons of diesel.
Maybe it is just me, but I get shivvers thinking of putting gas or diesel on my rack on the back of the trailer. Or the genny. yes, I built the platform to take the weight, but the thought of it there make me shiver.
I've been rear ended in my cargo trailer after being stopped at a red light for 15-30 seconds TWICE. How anyone can miss a 20ft cargo trailer STOPPED is beyond me, but it has happened. can't image if it was my trailer with gas cans on the back.
