Misinformation maybe just did a Google search of filling gas cans in back of truck several videos of fires at the pumps.chances are you will never have one.maye someone will come out with a rack of some sort so you could carry 3 five gallons on each side of truck and have a extra long range with out refueling .I had a 1967 Chevy with the tank behind the seat also added 2 saddle tanks 20 extra gallons on each side of truck no problems even smoked in the cab of the truck .I don't know if they are still available but it might be something to look into.they were hooked into the main tank with a valve to switch from left tank to the right and use you main tank last so you still had your gas gauge .the good old days.
