Bleach will kill mold however, the thing that is dangerous is not the mold, it is the waste product from the mold. Bleach does nothing for this. Only cleaning or removing the affected materials will get rid of this. And YES, I do, have a state mold remediation license, so this is not guess work. Don't risk your families health just spraying bleach on it, because someone says it used to work. Get the mold out and fix the leak or you are still breathing mold, period.
