Go to your local thrift store or second hand sporting goods store and pick up a set of exercise steps. They come with stackable two or three step sets. We have two sets to use when the trailer has to be leveled so that the bottom step is uncomfortably high. One set is black, two levels high and cost $15 at the second hand sports. The other is multiple colors, three levels high and cost $10 at the Sally Ann. We can adjust for varying campsites. They are fairly light and fit in the pickup without taking a lot of space when we are on the road.
