How to set-up a t@b teardrop trailer in 10 minutes

We created a video on how to set-up a t@b teardrop in 10 minutes or less.

http://www.happycamperwives.com/2016/12/20/how-to-set-up-a-tab-trailer/

We hope to create more how-to videos and would love to hear your thoughts on content you'd be interested in seeing.

Thanks in advance,
Valerie + Jessi

Also- since reviewing all these wonderful comments we have updated the video with the suggestions :)

  • Yep, I wouldn't expect more than the comments posted. Arm chair moderators who have to criticize everything with a negative light.

You guys did a great job of setting up and it will help others, especially first-timers. The video shoot was excellent and I think you covered all the important points.

    Continue doing a great job!

Just a thought, but you might want to delete this video until you correct it by demonstrating that the very first step after ensuring the trailer is leveled side-to-side is to always chock those tires before one ever unhitches the trailer from the tow vehicle. Considered a cardinal rule in RVing. ;)
  • Haha all good things to note! We typically are NOT on level ground so we should have thought about this. This cement slab has just been luxury we forgot about all our other struggles trying to make it not roll away.
  • I could see a parody of this video being done, starting with the trailer rolling away since there are no wheel chocks present when it's unhitched.
And yep....some cool sparks from the pedestal while hooking up with the breaker on....maybe hair going up in flames.....
  • Another tip: Turn OFF pedestal circuit breaker before connecting shore cord. If you get an arc of electricity between the pedestal and the prongs of the shore cord, the cord will develop pits that will eventually cause the cord to have more resistance than necessary.
  • Like the advice! Not sure how to reply to each person but 10 minutes is for when setting up in the dark, cold or when you're tired. And I like what you said about contamination practices- good to learn too!
  • You might want to revisit the order in which the steps are performed.

Most of us set the wheel chocks before unhooking from the truck.
Not everyone sets up on a level concrete slab.

Also, connect potable water before handling sewer hoses, to avoid contamination.
