How Wide is a Dually? Always Need Dually Jacks?
Wondering if you can just squeeze by without the swing-outs. Are duallies all the same width no matter what brand or year? Thanks.

- If I measured right, my duly finders, from edge to edge is 8 feet. (2014 Chevy Silverado)
- There not exactly the same but close..In buying my camper we took it off a late model 90's Dodge DRW which was very close,then we put it on my '94 F-350 DRW and the guy said,that was easy.(Laughing)There was slightly more room on my ford squeezing between the jacks then his Dodge.
Then came the close calls his wife and he had getting it between the jacks.
So yes,they are necessary for a dually. - There might be small variations, but there is no way you can squeeze 8 feet wide fenders between 7 feet jacks.
Even with jack extenders I have less than 1" clearance per side.
