Not sure how far to get to your campsite, but I wouldn't cancel an opportunity to go camping under those wind conditions, pretty much the norm here in our neck of the woods. If I'm concerned about the wind I will check hourly forecast for the region I'm traveling and plan accordingly. Enjoy your trip!!!
