REALLY? Nobody mentions the fact that it looks as if he's pulling a HOT TUB behind him?:h
Yeah, I have to agree, the real story in the picture is the Jacuzzi he's pulling along. Where did this picture come from, who knows this guy and how can we get him to come to the next Rally??? - mattyjExplorer

I ran for years with an aluminum boat on top of my rigs with rollers.Number one, there not that heavy but it does takes two to load it.
I am totally amazed at the new generation of truck campers, coupled with the internet to ad fuel to the fire.
In the old days as posted above,it was common to see an 8' plus overhead camper hooked up to a horse trailer and were talking trucks with a GVWR of like 7200 pounds...No broken axles/cracked rims or blown tires and the camper was tied down with stake pocket tie downs.
I agree with everything you say except that now a heck of alot of people drive like maniacs, and a TC with that type of setup could easily fall victim to some imbecile running into the back of you.
Wow how the internet has changed truck camping! - sharkmanExplorerLooks like a good pic for truck camper calendar.

Weight police.... GO!!!
That boat ain't that heavy and besides, that setup was way way before weight police existed, when people just adapted to situations without the fallout the internet provides!
And all the people said Amen! I remember the day that wouldn't have brought a worry. Love the truck!
Also, I can't see one in the pic but my friend Steve has one on his camper for the same type boat and I now have one on my box trailer for my 12 ft aluminum boat. A little electric motor that pulls the boat up and flips it to lay as you see it. It's pretty darn cool. I see some guide ropes attached to the camper that makes me think this is the same thing. - stufarmerExplorerThats a 1965 or 66 F250.
- jimh406Explorer IIII don't think a TC like that one is very heavy. Not much more than a shell.

X2. Or possibly a knock off - Captain_HappyExplorerYou've got to admit that on classic looking rig from back in the day, except the trailer
