Are you willing to travel outside of your area to find the truck you want? I see you are in the foothill of the Sierra's, but that is a big area. What is your closest big city? I would look for the truck in agricultural area's like Fresno, Modesto, and Bakersfield where it's more truck country. Look at inventory online and once you find the trim you like have a salesman look at the payload sticker before you even think about driving down to see it. There are a lot of helpful members here who will help out also.
