Just finished reading the 11 pages and found the debate very informative.
This confirmed my decision to keep my 2007 F150 and not upgrade to the 250. There were several factors; I have the tow pkg, 8 foot bed, 4.6l baby 8 cylinder, the 4x4, and the 3.73 axle all of which make a difference in tow capacity.
My new 29 ft TT comes in at 4800lb empty before we add our******inside.
FWIW I found shopping at a Ford dealership near the train yard and shipping channel much more informative. You know the ones with the sea of neatly parked pickups. They told me they order ALL of their new F250 XL's with power mirrors, power doors, tow pkg, ... everything you'd need to haul without the added expense of the higher trim packages. The only decision was which size cab to get, all of which were setting on the lot. You could have any color you wanted, as long as it was white.
