Actually, I have a KIT, I'm replacing some of the wooden structure with steel where there's more critical structural connections, in this case, the jacks, wings, floor.

Isn't aluminum a bit better in a way since it allows for some flexing before it snaps a weld? I really don't know but still like steel for many reasons.
I thought about aluminum, but it would cost more in materials and welding than steel.
The camper is still going be majority wood, but the corners and cabover structure are going to be rebuilt and framed in steel to help stiffen the structure up a little, given its One-By framing and 40 years of fighting gravity.
My hope with the Caveman's is to see how they did the corner jack mount design to see if there was anything that I might discover that would be useful :).
