- WyoTravelerExplorerNaw, in WY we go get our elk, drop it off at the butcher, then go to local restaurant to eat breakfast, go home and take a nap.
- MmwtdhExplorerI'm at deer camp right now... My TT is, January to September on the road, September to Thanksgiving at the Ranch.
Fortunately my "home away from home" is only an hour from the house so me, my wife and my hunting partners and their wives feel like this is just like having a second home.
A second home with deer hunting right out the front door..... - JumboJetExplorerCamping spot off the Pig Trail surrounded by the Ozark National Forest. My friends have a cabin and I carry my TC and camp while hunting there. They have 70+ acres surrounded by 1,000s of NF land.
Camping spot on our 40 about 25 miles east of first camp site. My son carries his Lance TC and I carry my Lance TC. We are a mile north of the Ozark National Forest and close to the Kings River. We have a bear, deer, Bobcat, turkey, coyotes, etc.
I will have to take a picture with our camp set up. - BeanManExplorerI'll be basing out of mine in Colorado's unit 61 for a bull elk hunt on October 18. It's only 48 miles from home but it will save a bunch of time. I'll have to blow out my water lines before the hunt though, too cold to have water in them.
- Capt_EddieExplorerI will be heading to College Mound Missouri in my Lance 1040. The wife and kids will have all the comforts of home while my Uncle and I set up deer stands and predator hunt before fall turkey season. We go there at least 3 times a year. spring turkey, early bow hunting and then fall gun season. We drop the camper and then use the truck to ferry everyone around on our trips to Macon and Moberly.
- TucsonJimExplorer IIRun deer run! Seriously though. Good luck to all of you. I didn't get drawn in the Arizona deer or elk lottery again this year. If you have excess venison, I'll take it off your hands.

- I'm not an avid hunter, but I've been out in the woods during portions of hunting season and have seen some very elaborate hunting camps - complete with a cord or so of firewood for the camp fire.
Thinking of hunting season got me thinking about all the "hunting rigs" (old RVs) that start to come out of the woodwork here in Washington. In a few more weeks you will start to see more and more of them as people drag them in to the woods to set up camp. They are old RVs that are used specifically as hunting camp rigs.
Go to Craigslist and do a search for "hunting camper" if you want to see some of the vintage RVs people are selling... - trailgranny50ExplorerWe're running low on venison ago Bow season here can't start soon enough. Have wanted to take camper too our lease but darned always has destructive cattle on the place and since its open and other hunters could shoot holes thru it we just drive the 45 min three, hunt and go home. Then my work starts. Hubby takes more than me so I do skinning, quartering, and processing. He's too slow and I just want it done. Off course I have to guy any I shoot myself and his if his back is out. Yup, just LOVE deer season!.
