- trailgranny50ExplorerYeah, not much cleaning those thing. We're a little old fashioned I guess. Our motto is if you're not planning to eat it don't shoot it. If you're not willing to clean it to eat it don't shoot it in the first place. Hence my new found reluctance to really stuff the freezer with more than we can eat in a year. Just getting lazy in old age I guess.
- towproExplorerall my hunting anymore has been for these orange things that fly through the air after I say "PULL"
- trailgranny50ExplorerWe've been putting out corn in the feeders for couple of weeks now. Archery open till January and muzzleloader in a couple of weeks then rifle. Limit here is 6 combined with two bucks all the seasons and Holiday Doe adds one to make 7. We used to tag out every year but as I get older lots of times I watch one or more go by thinking, kill it, gut it, load it, skin it, quarter and soak it then cut it up and hamburger grinding and I just take a pic instead. Do need about 4 to make enough burger for a year and steaks and stew. One year I processed 21 for myself hubby and family. Got real tired of venison, couldn't hardly stand to cook and eat it for a while. Thinking of taking TC this year for a couple nights for not having to get up that hour and a half earlier. DH hasn't even tried to use his bow yet as he injured a shoulder and even cocking the cross bow a hard pull. I gave mine to grands two years ago and just hunt muzzleloader and rifle now.
- mellowExplorerI hunt locally on private farms, don't really need the TC for that unless I feel the need to get an early start, most of the time the deer move more at dusk around here.

- jaycocreekExplorer IINot many hunters it seems..Hunting season is my favorite time of the year to be out camping in the hills whether in a tagged pickup camper/motorhome/fifth wheel/travel trailer or just a tent.
My wife just got out of the hospital so hunting this year is iffy at best but we sure did our homework and enjoyed being out camping in the hills looking for game in the process.
Out the window of our RV earlier this year.
And this ofcourse is just an extra anymore that helps pay for the tags and gas to get there.
'Tis the season to be out enjoying hunting or not.
Best of luck to all the hunters out there. - VinsilExplorerGave up on deer years ago but excited for Elk! We finished off my last bull this year, we are hungry for more.
You might not consider it hunting in the traditional sense but we are hitting up Lincoln City in two weeks for some razor clams, season is open amd tides are low that weekend. I'll post pics of that trip.
Armed and ready. - AJBertExplorerMy hunts don't start until next month but I guess I can't play because I have a TT?
- pcoplinExplorer IIWaiting for my back to heal a little. Deer season started a couple days ago.
However, elk season starts Nov 7th. 17 point trophy unit. Very excited! - starcraft69ExplorerThis is last week. No luck for me but my buddy got his deer 10min into opening day. I will be back out in a week. I set up base camp at 8200' and hunt 8000'-9000' We need some weather here in CA.
