Pretty sure jacks are optional in a situation like this.

If the fire was towards the rear of the trailer I would probably try to get the truck unhooked but otherwise I agree in letting the insurance company deal with it. - LanceRKeysExplorerI would un-latch the hitch and floor it. You would have to get a new bed, but not a new truck, and at least you could drive home.
