I actually do not mind the painted Bumpers looks.
It is the paint chips that I don't care for. I know that the paints improve every year, so perhaps it will hold up well.
I did look at the 2019s bumper parts, and it appears that the Chrome/painted ones are interchangable. A search online with aftermarket OEM clones showed prices as low as 260.00 for the chrome ones. I am not concerned about the clones qualty, as I had to purchase one for a toyota many years ago. That Bumper was identical to the OEM one, and is still looking good today.
So yeah, if paint chips become an issue, I believe a chrome bumper will be the solution.
Such a small trivial item that can be easily and affordably fixed, is not something that I will base a truck purchase on.
