I drove a 2020 Silverado D/A 3500HD today

In short.... I LIKE.

They look really good in person. I do wish the High Country had the LTZ chrome bumper.

The 10 speed tranny is seamless, and the Dmax power is there as usual. Lots of G whiz features. I love the HUD display.
It is gonna be a definate upgrade over my 2011.

I had her build a High Country 3500 DRW 4X4 CC DA. Out the door right at 80K.
Gonna shop around and see if I can do better. But I see myself placing an order soon.

I'd love to buy a new D/A but the price, wow. We have talked about getting a used diesel pusher instead of a new up truck and fifth wheel for retirement. New truck and FW would push us north of $150000. Still trying to figure out what to do. It's only money and we only live once.
The good news is that my 2011 is worth a lot more than I figured. That's gonna take the sting out of it some.

don't know about the 2020, but my 2015.5 Denali also had the painted front and rear bumpers. Yes, they look nice, but pick up rock chips and scratches that a Chrome bumper won't. I also wish it had the chrome bumpers. I think at the time the High country also had the painted bumper.
My thoughts exactly. I wonder if the LTZ Bumper would bolt up. If so, I see a upcoming mod already.
  • I got my 2014 Diesel Silverado HD 3500 dualy paid off last year. Just turned 60,000 miles yesterday, about 2/3rds of that distance was towing something. She's a beautiful beast, towing a behemoth fifth wheel, doing what she was made for! And doing it marvelously!

I'll keep what I've got for a while. But I appreciate your enthusiasm for the Chevy! Thank-you for sharing.

  • Eighty grand here, eighty grand there and pretty soon you’re talking real money...but you only live once...buy it!
