The diesel fuel in Canada supposedly meets the criteria for the CP4 yet I've read of several failures here as well.
I agree 100% that it's way too severe of a failure to be acceptable. And the other thing I find disturbing is that there is no documentation (or at least readily available) that outlines what the "improvements" are in the newer versions of the pump to make them more reliable. This must be to avoid admitting that there is indeed an issue with the older versions. Time will tell about the reliability of the new versions but there is way too much of a lack of transparency for me. I just simply cannot risk this type of failure with a vehicle.
