- my_crib_tooExplorerCan't help with the discount but look at a 3/4 ton too. Always nice to have more truck than you currently need.

This was NOT a request for "which is best" It is a request for a "Friend" discount number. I think each brand has its advantages and disadvantages. I will purchase based on price ALONE.
I thought you were kidding at first. I don't know how Ford or Chrysler works, but active GM employees doing what you're asking can be terminated and/or banned from the program. Retirees can also be banned.
Here's a quote from the GM employee discount webpage. You can share the new and improved GM Supplier Discount Price with a friend or acquaintance through the GM Supplier Discount for Friends program.
It changes all the time, but for now it's perfectly fine. - TerryallanExplorer IIyep, You can beat any of the plans if you talk right. My dealer told me, When I was ready to buy. He would beat my X plan.

You can easily negotiate a better price than any of those plans if you know what your doing. - waynec1957Explorer

So what you plan on using the truck for is immaterial???????? Sounds like you have already addressed this question but just haven't shared it on the RV.net forum.
I think that all three truck manufactures make a truck that will tow a TT. Otherwise, they would be out of business, and all of us RV's would be driving the same brand. - MarkTwainExplorerThis was NOT a request for "which is best" It is a request for a "Friend" discount number. - YnotTurboExplorerGet the Ram 1500 Diesel. Gets almost 30 MPG when not towing....plenty of torque. Make sure you get 3:73 or 4:10 gears for towing...
- MarkTwainExplorerThis question reminds me of the question "How long should a man's legs be":):) Answer, "long enough to touch the ground:):)
Before I would offer an opinion on which truck to buy, I would ask "what do you plan to use the truck for??? If the answer has any connection to towing an RV around the 8K lbs. or above, I would narrow my search to at least a 3/4 ton truck and a diesel engine. I drive a 3500 Dodge 1 ton diesel with 6 spd. manual tranny towing a 14K 5th. wheel. That would be my recommendation or opinion. Options i suggest, replace the original fuel tank with at least a 60 gal. tank, install an exhaust brake.
Just my 2 cents worth:)
