Yes, I think the way to look at these and similar units (like an Airstream) as a "lifetime" trailer. I fully expect to have it 20 years and maybe upgrade electronics or fabrics every now and then.
Most people consider trailers as more or less disposable, so they don't want to pay too much. I guess that is OK if you get bored with things and want something new every 5 years. Changing them out only makes them appear to be cheaper in the short run. Over time, it may be alot more costly.
Another thing about the way I'm setting this up that I'm excited about - I don't expect that I would actually need an electrical hookup unless I need to run AC. Last year, I never had a day that I needed to. Also, with the tank sizes, I think I can go a full week before I need to dump and fill.
