Another thing about the way I'm setting this up that I'm excited about - I don't expect that I would actually need an electrical hookup unless I need to run AC. Last year, I never had a day that I needed to. Also, with the tank sizes, I think I can go a full week before I need to dump and fill.
That Will be a function of the environment to a certain extent. Last year at Sequoia NP my hosting spot was under a pretty heavy cover of 200' Lodgepole Pines. The solar provided some charge to the battery, but I still ran my genny a bit every day. I didn't need A/C but I did have two fans running most of the day.
I have a huge marine Lifeline 4D AGM battery. The solar keeps it charged just fine as long as I have at least a couple of hours of sun each day. Didn't happen last summer. Also I used the genny for the microwave. I'm a lazy chef.
