This is true. I just had a local trailer place put new Maxxis on my TT and although new, the date code was almost 18 months old! I really don't think it's much of an issue but it's amazing to me that these tires (whatever brand) can sit that long in a warehouse.
If they are that good of a tire ,I wonder why they dont sell faster
