1492, Spain: A man is talking to Christopher Columbus (actually Christoforo Columbo)
Man says "your gonna fall off the edge of the earth!
CC: "No science (called alchemy in those days) holds the world is round."
So Christopher sails off to India via the west and stumbles on the Americas. Proving during his voyage the world is ACTUALLY ROUND
Upon his return to Lisboa he encounters the same man who accosts him:
CC: " I have proven the earth is round as you see I didnt fall off..."
Man: "Bah! The earth is flat! How do I know? because MY experience tells me so and I read it on my RV forum"
Christopher slowly walks away shaking his head wondering if all the sacrifice was worth it. But he made a few bucks anyway...
