Identify this sealant please

I was pulling off a sealant from the seams of the metal under pin of my travel trailer. 2000 travel supreme. The stuff pulled off easy and clean. It was elastic like a rubber band and it was unreal how tough it was. So tough I could not break it by pulling on it. Anyone have any idea what this stuff is? I want to use it when I seal it back up. Thanks
  • No one can tell by looking what brand sealant it is. Not even the pros that do it for a living. The trailer mfg may change brands in the same year so only they could tell you what they used on the trailer

Dicor verticle for the sides or Dicor self leveling for the roof.

Proflex is one of the more popular seam sealer.

    Sikaflex is another popular sealant.

Do a google on the subject and then a you tube. Lots of ideas and helpful info out here.
  • Could be some sort of butyl sealant, that is used a lot in trailer building for bedding parts. Geocel makes a variety of sealants used in the trailer building industry. I wouldn't be hesitant to use something like this 2300 MHRV for those areas.
  • Thanks for the replies. I just want something strong that holds up well under there and is not a royal pain to take off if needed. I'll check into these products. I'am about to start on the roof, so I will get some experience with the Dicor sealants. Haven't used the others yet.
Just looked at 2300 looks like what I was after. Thanks!
