I keep thinking about what it would take to salvage the topics that can still be edited by loading all of the images to another hosting site, and updating all of the image links. It would be a lot of work, but it could be done. Imgur is one possible hosting site that is mentioned on this forum a lot, but looking at their terms of service it appears to me that they also forbid hot linking from other sites.
" Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it."
I hate to be redundant, repetitive, and superfluous, but it sounds like they mean it. How is it we are using Imgur today for hosting forum images when their TOS appear to forbid it?
I'm not to eager to put in the work necessary to move my images to another host just to have the same thing happen again.
