Why is it 62mph or 65mph or whatever to poster happens to drive is safe and 75mph is magically unsafe.

Try towing a travel trailer 30 feet-ish or more at above 65? I don't know about everyone else, but even with a Reese DC WDH, I find it gets to be a handful above 65 and it is NOT comfortable to drive. Then there's the question of stopping in an emergency/panic situation if ever needed when you and your TT are going faster than 65 (and that's IF you think your TT brakes are 100% effective 100% of the time).
I haven't yet re-installed the dual cam arms on our new TT and without them, I find even above 60 mph isn't comfortable.
I've raced cars my younger days and have had numerous fast sports cars, which I built or modified myself. Now that I am in my 60s, I have zero interest in trying to go fast and towing at 65 mph is plenty fast enough. It's so easy just to set the CC at 65 mph and enjoy...
Maybe having ST tires rated at 65 mph is a good thing. If they were rated at say 75, and everyone thought they could go another 10 mph faster, maybe there'd be a lot more accidents on the roads.
Roger Marble, a tire engineer, has good info. on his website on ST tire speed. RVTiresafety.com
