Some people on this forum seem to forget that they aren't the only person in the world. Some of us have jobs and have limited windows for vacation.
I would take 2 weeks in February and go to Florida to get out of the horrible winter weather. Second year we went down to Florida I wasn't paying attention to my speed, I was keeping up with traffic on I95. I was cruising along just fine, no shake or sway, no white knuckles, no problems at all... except I noticed my gas gauge was unusually low. Looked and saw I was doing a little over 75 mph... with no mechanical or trailer issues.
It wasn't my intention to go that fast and I slowed down after I realized... but I had been driving 75 for an hour and a half. There is no magic change between 65 and 75 mph. Physics comes into play a little faster at 75, but if you aren't paying attention and planning ahead at either speed you are a danger to others.
Some people seem to think that 65 is some miraculous number and can cruise along at 65 and not pay attention and will be fine, but things will break bad at 75...?
To the OP, I won't advise you to drive at 75 mph when towing, but if you plan to do so you need to upgrade your tires.
