The road I was just on in Utah has an 80 MPH speed. I have a long trip with a short time so 80 it was for hours at a time on Maxis ST radials. No, my trailer did not blow up and neither did my tires.
Now in Tx with a 75 MPH speed limit. Same thing here.
Up until last year I ran bias. One blow out in 35 years of ST tires. ( I believe to this day it was a nail low pressure deal)
I challenge anybody to tell the difference in heat between 65 and 75. Ambient temp makes a whole lot more difference.
I'm towing heavy on Maxxis tires and I also ignore ST tire speed ratings. The Maxxis documentation says they are high speed radials. I would suspect that Maxxis is complying with tire marking regulation.
