if trailer tires only good to 65mph, why not switch?

Try it with a Hensley Arrow. I cruise quite comfortably at 70 Mph with our 32' 9000 lb TT. Trailer is never squirrly and is always comfortable to drive.

For the OP, I wuld say yes, look at LT tires for the speed margin.
