Well, I dunno about "your" tire size, but here is a point of reference for my 14" Kumho's: I now have approaching 12K miles on them, and by my measuring the have used up between one and two /32". So at least in my case, it looks like they will age out before they "wear" out.
Having said though, disclaimer here: my particular camper on these tires is only running weight wise at about half of the load capacity of the tires. So one would expect them to in fact wear pretty slowly I would agree.
