In answer to your question, Yes!!
That is why the wood color does not match, the mattresses are uncomfortable, the seat cushions are too soft and a host of other issues.
The manufacturers build what will sell. They all use the same supply base and order the material commensurate with the selling price. The auto industry was the same until consumer demand drove the quality and the price up.
An RV is a hobby or a toy to be used a few times a year. At this point the majority of the market does not want to, or cannot justify paying for better stuff.
Economics 101, profit is proportional to selling price. The manufacture would love to sell more high end products but the market will not pay for it. How many Airstreams do you see verses other brands.
