A diesel from any of the big three AMERICAN manufacturers. Pick a style you like, and go for it. They're all great trucks. I would suggest test driving all three. I found it useful to let all the salesmen know I was considering other branded pickups. It made them much more competetive. It works real well when you tell the Dodge salesman "I'll have to let you know tomorrow after I drive the Ford and the Chevy".
