My first choice would be the 10,000 lb. travel trailer with the 2500 SRW with the gas engine and 4.10 gears. With a travel trailer the bed of the truck is usable for gear and toys (ATV, kayaks, bicycles, etc.).
For the 13,000 lb. 5th wheel trailer my choice would be a SRW 2500 truck with the diesel engine and the 3.73 gears.
No reason on earth to get a 3500 for towing with the 2014 models. The 2013 3500 had a stronger frame than the 2500 trucks but for 2014 the 2500 got the stronger frame as well.
More than 80% of the 5th-wheel travel trailers I see on the highway are being pulled by a SRW truck. The DRW is needed when the trailer weight on the bed is in excess of 4,000 lbs. which is one very heavy trailer and I see this only with very large horse trailers.
