Ike Gauntlet
Anyone seen the Dodge pulling 17,500 trailer up the Gauntlet. Man if it struggles with this weight no way it can pull 30K. Im a Dodge guy but i think none of the big 3 could tow up this grade.:)

Yes, it does. Just push button to shift once, and the gears appear. Which gear you are in, and which gear you have limited it to.
I was wondering, as the driver of the Dodge was guessing at what gear he was in.
Perhaps a 2014 owner can enlighten us. The ERS indicator on my 2011 only shows the top gear the transmission can use. It doesn't necessarily indicate which gear it is using.
I own a 2013 and that's been my observation as well. The ERS will only indicate the maximum gear the truck will shift up to. There is no actual gear indicator that I'm aware of on my truck.
I have a '14, and IT IS there! Do not know about '13's. Normally, the dash shows that you are in D. However, push the shift button going down the road, maybe twice if my rememberer is right, and BOTH the max gear you selected is shown, and the gear that the truck is presently in, are shown!
