Hello again everyone.Gonna be staying at this campground this coming July. It's a done deal and I had little to do with it. Although, I've used KOAs for years and generally love them.Never been to this one and it gets very mixed reviews online. Everything from don't even drive close to it, to best campground in the world.So anyone ever stay there? Anything to help me prepare to mitigate any issues?And how about the general area? So far, I got lighthouses, Maritime Museum, beaches (of course), and maybe the Coastie station if they do tours. It'll be a week or two after the 4th, so if any events are taking place that we shouldn't miss I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance.

Since you said LB and only one I know of is Golden Shores in LB, yes we have stayed there and liked it. Security gate. Fairly nice park. My only complaint is if you stay there more than a few days they play musical RVs. Don't know why because they do not promise any particular site. We have had to move several times in the past from site to site. PITA. I think some people get special priorty on sites. Others don't. Other than that it is a nice park.Ignore this. I have driven by the CG several times. Looks OK from the Highway. Seems like there is always a lot of RV's there.On the weekend there is a nice fleamarket on the waterfront in Ilwaco. Check the schedule for the "Lady Washington". She sometimes is docked there. Be sure to drive over to Astoria and have fish and chips at the Bow Picker. They start serving around 11am and goes till they run out of food.

I always think it best to go to the horses mouth...so to speak...Why dont you give them a call and just have a nice chat with them. After a few questions about the place then express your concerns and see what they say. If it makes sense, then problem solved.It may give you some context for the opinions you get here.

Great conversation. Very nice people. But I doubt they're gonna trash talk they're own CG, so I thought I'd ask. Just trying to get as many opinions as it will just prepare me better for something that might come up.
