I'm confused....as usual

There is no way to know if anyone's signature is true or not. Seems like a strange way to determine credibility.

On the other hand, it could be incomplete. By my signature, I didn't have the same TC on a SRW for 8 years, or own other RVs.

So if a person who has owned a TC but presently owns something different and doesn't say what it is, comes in and guides someone through fixing their TC generator does that mean that the TC persons generator really isn't putting out? Its seems the result or accuracy of the post would dictate, not that persons physical characteristics. Maybe I'm just thinking of it wrong.

The signature portion of your profile "does not" ask you to put your currant or past recreational vehicles it only asks: "Proud of your car, truck, RV, motorcycle or other Rig? Tell other forum members all about it."..New members signing up have know idea that this is a VIP part of the so called credibility on this particular forum.

So do we go back 50 years and list every RV we have ever owned or just currant?..I have three in my driveway right now..Which one counts?

I sold this one last year,my favorite of the many truck campers I have owned clear back to my 1957 GMC with an 8ft Sturdy Built truck camper..Next was a 1976 Chevy 4X4 with an 8ft Security cabover camper and on and on as I really like the truck campers for pulling horse trailers/boats and ATV's and being able to get places other RV's can't.

But it's not in my sig as well as the currant three that are in my driveway right now!......



It's silly to rate someones credibility to there sig line especially when the sig line does not ask you to list your currant RV or RV's.If it was important it would ask you to list them...It does not!

I didn't realize a signature was incomplete without adding an RV...It only asks if your proud of your RV share it with others.

Looking at some Sigs it could get out of hand right down to the grease brand used on the wheel bearings.(Joke/kidding)....

I'm with sleepy on this. Too many posts by people that have no RV experience of any kind. They post in every section, claiming to be an expert on every topic, yet there is 0 evidence they have ever owned any RV; no pics, no sig, never at any rallys...really? Post a pic and show us you exist!
I do think a sig adds cred i.e. I am not so sure I value your "advice" about diesel if you have never owned one?!
Or advice about WD hitches if you have never used one...etc, etc..

I agree. I also think that people have different comfort levels about privacy and sharing. What one person sees as "no big deal" in sharing, another person sees it as more than they want to provide to the wide world web. If someone chooses not to pay attention to those, then that's their right, but it doesn't arbitrarily discount the other person for the rest of us.
