Funny you mention how you miss having just the truck/TC combo once you have a TT hitched up to your truck.

About 10+ years ago our 2 kids were growing FAST. Son was 6' and daughter not much shorter. Didn't fit in our Adventurer 810ws. Sold it and bought a 26' TT.

Great room inside but what a pain to maneuver. Stopping on the way to a destination took much more planning. Always looking for large, empty parking lots, larger gas stations and watching for tight turns.

After 2 years of that, our kids decided that RVs were not for them once they started driving. So Cathy and I went back to a TC.

Update is I don't like pulling a TT. We liked the little extra room but it wasn't enough to make me want to change. My Lance 881 has a great floor plan.
It was such a pain to get around with and its only a 25' unit. It did pull nice but needed to lower the hitch more.

Stopped by Camper World and purchased some new goodies for the TC...quick disconnect for the BBQ and some level gauges.

A thought did cross my mind as I loaded the TT. The tongue weight is so little I could load the truck camper and also bring the TT behind us with my 48" extension...wife and kids in the TT and me with my beer in the TC.

Long story short...my brother has been in it for a month with his 150lbs Great Dane dog.

Also the TT will be easier to unload so we can drive the truck to the theme parks.

I really need to invest in some Fastguns. 4 long if anyone has a set...

Now it's starting to sound like a good vacation. lol. I have seriously considered this setup....

Thinking that you might want to rethink this...or instead of a truck camper...you might be sleeping in the dog house. Joking!!!

Yeah well...when we leave our dogs behind on a short trip out with the camper there are surprises for us when we get home. Yes they get dog sat by our oldest son but they play revenge on us. At least your camper doesn't do that. Lol.
