Many exhaust fans above the stove in the newer RV's do NOT vent outside. It's nothing more than a fan with a filter. I know I was pretty shocked to see that but it was most likely done to keep manufacturing costs down. :R
Yah, I eventually started wondering just where the fan was blowing stuff... eventually looked under the hood and saw the small plastic vent flap. It needs to be opened from the outside, little plastic flippers...
I guess the key to all this is:
1 Hava hood fan blowing to the outside
2 clean up the area ASAP... wipe it down..
kewl... looking forward to braising chicken in a wine/mushroom sauce... fun.. let the games begin..
