when your RAM trucks go through regen, do you have the elevated idle, about 8-900 RPM's? extremely annoying in the GM's.
no
Yes if it needs to, mine does.
I have only rarely noticed an active regen in my truck. Once I heard a slightly odd sound (possibly a slightly elevated idle) while stopped at a red light. Like I said... only noticed that once. Other times I stop the truck and notice a slight burning smell, which I assume is from the heated exhaust during an active regen.
Other than that, never noticed anything... not even a noticeable blip in fuel mileage. I mostly use my truck for hauling though, so I think I usually get a passive regen.
This time of year is when mine does it the most. Camper is parked, boat has not been out of the garage and my DW drives it to work when we get snow/ice. A lot of idle and slow easy running. Don't notice it much during the towing season.
