All RV's have their fair share of issues off the production line. They're all put together about the same. The interior systems (entertainment, water heater, furnace, lighting, refrigerator, etc) are only made by a few companies, and, they are pretty much the same in many different makes. The axles and jacks are also made by just a few companies. They too, are pretty much the same. At 5 - 6 years of age, it doesn't matter who built the trailer. It's overall condition depends on how it has been maintained.
Look for cracked or missing caulking, around doors and windows, around any openings through the roof, and areas where the sidewalls meet the roof. Check for missing trim, rusty screw heads (could indicate a leak), age of tires (if they are original, they should be replaced), wavy siding (another indication of water getting in), soft spots or discoloration of the flooring, and water stains on walls and ceilings.
Do an operation check on plumbing / heating / AC systems and the refrigerator.
