These states are bigger than you think, so having some idea of what parts of the states you plan on visiting would be good. For example, Tennesse, east or west end?

Being that the states are so big, I like to get a rough idea what to see and not miss out on, then I can decide which path to travel.
Here is the minimal outline.
Starting mid June till ?? The return date is more up to my parents, as I have an 8 week sabbatical and plan to tack on 3 more weeks of Vacation. Not that we plan to be on the road that long, we just don't really have a specific deadline.
1st planned stop, Boulder Colorado for family reunion.
2nd planned stop, Lawton Oklahoma to visit my sister.
3rd planned stop, Nashville Tennessee to visit my other sister.
4th planned stop, Ogallala Nebraska to see if I can catch some Walleye from my kayak.
Other than that, we are only hitting the other states either because it's on the way to Tennessee, or just a state we've never been to that has always interested us one way or another.
I may work on adding a map later as I get more ideas of where we want to go.
