Howz everyone doing these days? Been a while since I posted last. I got busy with other hobbies and fabricated toys. We're gearing up for a long road trip next summer out east (hot hum...

Sleepy - I remember your story of staying at Pat's well. The COE CG I mentioned is on the back way from Pat's to Butte La Rose just after crossing the levee and canal.
My little story about Pat's would include two bits. One, I cuoldn't decide what to order and ended up ordering the Pat's special (I think) that was a combination of everything (from the Swamp, from the Ocean etc.) and I think every single item was deep fried or fried....and laying on an entire bed of french fries. It was pretty "INSAYN" I suppose.. The second piece, was while we were eating, there were some crazy storms and tornado warnings going on. Just while we were enjoying after dinner coffee the power went out. We just sat there with our cell phones out making a little light to find our drinks and watched all the flashing of lightning outside. The staff were all apologizing but we were enjoying the ambiance way more than the inconveniance took away (by far) and the other patrons all seemed to think the same thing. Kind of surreal......
Insayn, if you are going that way you should PM Atchfalaya Man (Doug I think)for additional ideas down there. South Luisiana (away from Naw'lins) is like another world and well worth the visit.
