Inside Shower vs Outside Shower

I was looking for some input on everyone's opinions on outside shower vs inside shower. In researching Hallmark and Outfitter, there is a rather large savings without the inside shower. I would appreciate everyone's view on both and experiences you have had. Obviously an inside shower allows one to shower when you are camping in cold weather. Just interested how everyone deals with or without a shower when camping for extended periods of time.
  • We've never used the outside shower. We've used the inside shower A LOT.
  • We have an inside shower in our camper and have never used it. When we are travelling every 2nd day we find a campground with showers.
When we are boondocking there is usually a lake to refresh oneself in after a hard day or mountain biking or motorbiking.
When we canoed the Bowron lakes and hiked the West Coast trail we went a week without a shower.
I always thought an outside shower would have been nice to rinse off sand.
  • Outside showers are usually used for washing your feet, or your dogs, etc.. Not used for real showers....
  • do not think one second about buying any type rv without an indoor shower. don't ask me how i know what a terrible mistake that would be.

outside showers are wayyy overrated as they are a pita if used as intended. you have to buy, maintain, haul, put up/take down, dry out a separate shower enclosure. this also doesn't work out very well if you find yourself in an urban boondocking situation.
  • If I told my wife I was buying a TC without an inside shower she would divorce me. We also have an outside shower that comes in handy to wash the dog or clean off muddy shoes. We dont use it to clean ourselves. An inside shower offers you privacy and convenience.
