Installed Fantastic Vent fan

My Starcraft AR-One 18QB didn't have a vent fan in the bathroom (it only had a vent), so I decided to do something about it. I installed a Fantastic vent fan. The installation took me about 5-6 hours, but it wasn't complicated at all. I grabbed power from the light fixture in the bathroom. The time consuming part was removing the existing vent and cleaning as much of the old sealant off the roof as possible. WOW, this thing has three speeds and really moves some air. It acts like an old fashioned attic fan. I can feel it pulling air from the window on the opposite end of my trailer. According to the manufacturer, the fan can be left on all the time to provide circulation while the trailer is in storage to eliminate the musty smell and other problems. I like it so much that I'm going to order another one and install it on my Starcraft Autumn Ridge 329BHU and replace the puny little bathroom fan the factory installed.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
  • Like Ken 56 said you might look into a vent cover, you can then use it even in the rain. Fantastic Fan is second to none in warranty as well, if a part breaks call them and they will mail you a new part.

I would not own a RV without a Fantastic Fan.
  • Love mine too. A lot of people caution on putting it in the bathroom. That's where I put mine cuz it already had the power there and I don't have any issue with it pulling fumes from the black tank, just turn it off for 2 seconds when you flush if you think it necessary. I have the 10 speed reversible one and its quiet as can be. Pulls a lot of air, both in and out. Did you install covers over them too? Might consider that if you didn't.
  • The Fantastic Vent fan is a marvelous product but I chose to replace the bath fan with a Vortex fan. The Vortex does not require removing the vent and is much less expensive. I installed the single speed Vortex and added a separate speed control.
